Who should apply for a Bucks for Bucs scholarships?

All graduating seniors who are planning on continuing their education may apply for a scholarship. We have scholarships for students who plan to enroll in a colleges, university, trade schools, and Vo-tech or licensing programs. We are looking for students who have excelled in some way--either academics, extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership. Through the application, you can highlight your strengths and tell us about your plans for your future.

What scholarships are available through Bucks for Bucs?

We currently offer three types of scholarships. All of them use the same basic application which can be found on our website. However, Private Scholarships have some additional requirements. Here is a basic description of the Bucks for Bucs Scholarships. 

Who decides who gets a scholarship?

We have a selection committee comprised of individuals who are not familiar with the graduating class Chartiers-Houston. They do not know the applicants. They are business owners, former educators, and community members who score the applications.

 When will I know if I got a scholarship?

Recepients will be notified by Mid May.

How do I get my Scholarship money?

Recipients must have provide proof of enrollment in an eligible post-secondary education program to receive the funds. Proof must have the students full name and can be one of the following: Tuition Invoices (Preferred) Student ID or class schedule.

 Who is Bucks for Bucs?

We are a charitable organization that seeks to expand educational opportunities for students of the Chartiers-Houston School District. We have been supporting the community for over 15 years.  

How can I support Bucks for Bucs?

We host fundraising events such as a Spring 5K race and the annual Bucks For Bucs Sports Camp for elementary students. These are a great opportunities for you to support our community.
