BUCKS FOR BUCS VOLUNTEER SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was established by the Bucks for Bucs Board of Directors to recognize an individual who has volunteered his or her time to help make Bucks for Bucs events successful. Just describe your involvement with our organization on the Foundation Scholarship Application in the Community Service section. No additional application form is needed.
Award: $500
Criteria:
____Must plan on enrolling in an eligible post-secondary education program (proof of enrollment required prior to distribution of funds)
____Must have volunteered at least 5 hours at any B4B events: 5K Run/Fun Walk, Awards Ceremony or Sports Camp

1. The Timothy & susan Shannon SCHOLARSHIPs
This scholarship is sponsored by Jackie & Frank Lesjak in the name of her parents, Timothy & Susan Shannon. Recognizes students who have demonstrated leadership and a commitment to community service.
Award: $2,000
Criteria:
____Must plan on enrolling in an eligible post-secondary education program (proof of enrollment required prior to distribution of funds)
____Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
____Must demonstrate a meaningful commitment to community service

2. The knights of Columbus - St. oscar romero parish council #3291 SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus St. Oscar Romero Parish Council #3291 for volunteer work in their parish and community service.
Award: $1,000
Criteria:
____Must plan on enrolling in an eligible post-secondary education program (proof of enrollment required prior to distribution of funds)
____Must be a Catholic who worships at St. Oscar Romero Parish or whose father is a member of Knights of Columbus #3291 and worships at any parish in the Diocese of Pittsburgh Catholic Church
____Must be a 2024 Graduating Senior from Chartiers-Houston High School
____Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
____Must have completed church involvement/service (ex: CCD Aide, Lector, Choir Member, Vacation Bible
School Volunteer, Altar Server, Fish Fry Volunteer, or Youth Group Member) Church involvement/service must
be verified in writing by the Church Clergy prior to Submitting the application
_____Must Have completed 30 or more hours of community service outside of the church (as notated on your Bucks for Bucs
Foundation Application)Must demonstrate a meaningful commitment to community service

3. houston volunteer fire department - pumpkin festival Scholarship
This scholarship is sponsored by The Houston Volunteer Fire Department.
Award: $1,000
Criteria:
____Must plan on enrolling in an eligible post-secondary education program (proof of enrollment required prior to distribution of funds)
____Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
____Must have volunteered only through the Houston Volunteer Fire Department for the Pumpkin Festival.

4. Susan Giles Stonebraker Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Susan Giles Stonebraker to support individuals who are planning on becoming educators. Ms. Stonebraker is an alumna of Chartiers-Houston High School and a passionate educator.
Award: $1,000
Criteria:
____Must plan on enrolling in an eligible post-secondary education program (proof of enrollment required prior to distribution of funds)
____Must intend to receive a degree in education
____Must submit an additional essay

5. Allison Park Elementary PFO Volunteer Scholarship
This scholarship was established by C-H Allison Park Elementary PFO to support individuals have gone over and above their required volunteer hours.
Award: $1,000
Criteria:
____Must plan on enrolling in an eligible post-secondary education program (proof of enrollment required prior to
distribution of funds)
____Must submit an additional essay
____Must have a minimum of 30 volunteer hours

6. CHARTIERS-HOUSTON FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is sponsored by the Chartiers-Houston Fantasy Football League, which was formed in 2008 by 8 Chartiers-Houston alumni and currently includes 13 players.
Award: $600
Criteria:
____Must plan on enrolling in an eligible post-secondary education program (proof of enrollment required prior to distribution
of funds)
____Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
____Must submit two additional essay

These scholarship are sponsored by the Chartiers-Houston Girls Varsity Soccer Boosters to recognize leadership and athletic achievement by a graduating Senior.
Award: $500

____Must submit an appraisal from your soccer coach
____Must have been a member of the soccer program for at least 3 years, one of which must be senior year.

This scholarship is sponsored by the Chartiers-Houston Boys Varsity Soccer Boosters to recognize leadership and athletic achievement by a graduating Senior.
Award: $500

____Must have been a member of the soccer program for at least 3 years, including senior year.

These scholarships is sponsored by the Chartiers-Houston H.S. Cheerleader Boosters to recognize leadership and athletic achievement by a graduating Senior.
Award: $500
Criteria:

____Must have been a member of the cheerleading squad for at least 3 years, including senior year

10. Robert Stinespring Memorial Scholarship (Wrestling)
This scholarship is sponsored by friends and family of Robert Stinespring to recognize leadership and athletic achievement by a graduating Senior involved in the Chartiers-Houston Wrestling Program.
Award: $500
Criteria:
____Must plan on enrolling in an eligible post-secondary education program (proof of enrollment required prior to distribution of funds)
____Must submit an appraisal from your wrestling coach
____Must have been a member of the wrestling team as an athlete or wrestling manager for at least 2 years, one of which must be senior year

These scholarship are sponsored by the Chartiers-Houston Girls Varsity Volleyball Boosters to recognize leadership and athletic achievement by a graduating Senior.
Award: $500

____Must submit an appraisal from your volleyball coach outlining your contribution to the varsity volleyball program
____Must have been a member of the varsity volleyball team for at least 3 years, one of which must be senior year.

These scholarship are sponsored by the Chartiers-Houston Boys Varsity Basketball Boosters to recognize leadership and athletic achievement by a graduating Senior.
Award: $1,000

These scholarship are sponsored by the Chartiers-Houston Thespian Boosters to recognize leadership and theatrical development by a graduating Senior.
Award: $500
____Must plan on enrolling in an eligible post-secondary education program (proof of enrollment required prior to distribution of funds)
____Must be inducted Thespian of Troupe #11413
____Must have participated in Spring Musical for at lease 2 years, including senior year.
____Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

14. RANGE RESOURCES - sTEM (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING & MATHEMATICS) sCHOLARSHIPS
This scholarship is funded by Range Resource for seniors planning on enrolling in STEM field of study. No additional application form is needed.
Award: Two (2) $500
Criteria:
____Must plan on enrolling in an eligible post-secondary education program (proof of enrollment required prior to distribution of funds)
____Must plan on enrolling in a STEM field of study
15. JASON FAURE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was established by friends and family in memory of Jason Faure, a custodian of the School District. This scholarship recognizes a student with passion, excellence, and achievement in the technology education department. No additional application form is needed.
Award: $500
Criteria:
____Must plan on enrolling in an eligible post-secondary education program (proof of enrollment required prior to distribution of funds)
____Completing classes in the Tech-Ed department with the Western Area Career Technology Center are preferred but not required
____Students planning on entering a technology field, such as those listed in the CHHS/WACTC course catalog, are encouraged to apply
***If no applicants pursuing Tech-Ed field, this scholarship will then be awarded to the next available applicant***
16. MAster Woodcraft Corporation SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was established by Master Woodcraft Corporation. A business that has been established for many years in Chartiers Township and partial owner is a 1977 CHHS Alumni. This scholarship recognizes a student with passion, excellence, and achievement in the technology or craft education department. No additional application form is needed.
Award: Two (2) $500
Criteria:
____Must plan on enrolling in an eligible post-secondary education program (proof of enrollment required prior to distribution of funds)
____Students planning on entering a technology field or craft field of continued education, are encouraged to apply
***If no applicants pursuing Tech-Ed field or Craft, this scholarship will then be awarded to the next available applicant***
17. fraternal order of police, lodge 22 SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was established by the FOP Lodge 22. This scholarship recognizes a student who plans to pursue continued education in law enforcement or related fields. No additional application form is needed.
Award: $500
Criteria:
____Must be enrolled in an eligible post-secondary educational program. Special consideration is given to enrollment in law enforcement or related field. (proof of enrollment required prior to distribution of funds)
***If no applicants pursuing law enforcement field, this scholarship will then be awarded to the next available applicant***
18. St. patrick’s School SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was established for graduates of St. Patrick’s Catholic School. No additional application form is needed.
Award: Two (2) - $1,000

19. Bucks helping bucs SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is funded by Jason Banish, a Chartiers-Houston Graduate. No additional application form is needed.
